Activity 1 : Trishaw Racing at Jonker

As we arrive at Jonker Street we were so bored as it has nothing fun to do, that small stretch of street left us dry and annoyed with it, luckily fatty suggested that we take a ride on the famous trishaw.

We were able to locate the trishaw station where all the nice uncles were waiting for customers to entertain. We rented one trishaw but was unable to fit all 3 of us so geeky had to walk behind the trishaw.

During the trishaw ride down Jonker Street we met Shopie and oldie who are very good people which we eventually become best of friends during the trip. We met at the intersection of Jonker Street where it had a lot of people crossing. An idea suddenly came up as we glance at oldie and Shoppie so did they do the same to us. Immediately we got the same idea and decided to race on the street itself to see whose trishaw was better.

Right after the last person cross the street a single green apple roll towards the middle of the street signaling the green light for us to go. As the trishaw paddler rave themselves up with techno music from their boom box they cycle as hard as they can compete against each other as we at the back seat cheer them on.

We seem to be losing as the girls had a much cooler and fitter paddler so we decided to use some tricks of ours. Fatty pulled up a foldable chair and tried to stop the girls but they retaliated with a very big and fluffy pillow used by Shoppie and a big frying pan by oldie. I quickly join the fight by using my trusty broom stick to try and topple the girls which seems to be winning ever vigilantly.

As we came to the ending we felt that we were going to lose, so fatty took out our secret weapon which was the great big yellow banana and started munching away, he almost chocked himself trying to eat finish that banana. We used the banana peel as a slipping mechanism and it work when the girl’s trishaw loosed control and crash into a pile of garbage.

Finally we reach the chicken rice stall as the winner and first place for the trishaw racing competition.
